Today marked the launch of Frank Dudley's new website, Frank Dudley's first ever open day and the launch of our new production planning system.
The event was attended by 46 delegates from 29 separate suppliers and acquaintances, we found the event to be incredibly powerful for FDL to communicate changes in our business and involve the supplier base with FDL's plans for the future. Customers can often think the suppliers have to change with them but as we all know this creates a negative environment, FDL is aiming to bring the supplier base along on the journey ensuring they can deliver on time and efficiently ensuring we can replicate this service to our customers.
To aid in this we have launched a new part of our planning system today enabling automated planning of all our machines and the data to be fed instantly to all relevant people. The system has been implemented by Visdata and has been a huge success for the team leaders. It has enabled them to communicate there issues through our business and focus our resources in the correct areas.
The event has already proved to be a great success with our suppliers complying to our new processes and we have already received several new enquiries.
