The Anopol Group has new owners as a result of a Management Buy Out. The new owners are David Cass (Managing Director), Adrian Dallaway (Financial Controller) and Philip Spears (Engineering Manager). The brothers John and Brian Swain, who founded the original company 44 years ago, will be retained as directors, but on a consultancy basis over the next 5 years. John remains the GroupÂs Chairman and Brian keeps his title as Technical Director.
John commented, ÂBack in 1969 our first offices were the two spare bedrooms in my newly occupied home in Droitwich. We employed a secretary and progressed to 2 ancient offices in the centre of Droitwich and what I can only describe as a Âshack on the outskirts of the town. We acquired some plant for demonstration purposes, but were fortunate enough to receive a significant order from Cadbury for electropolishing their stainless steel chocolate moulds. That was the start of our sub-contract activities and now Anopol has 3 factories in Birmingham and one in Bordon, Hampshire.Â
Brian is looking forward to having more free time to pursue his hobbies. He commented, ÂAfter 44 years at the tiller, John and I are getting a little long in the tooth. We have every confidence in the members of the new team and look forward in assisting them with the continued growth of business for the Group.Â
