ItÂs National Apprenticeship Week, and to celebrate, we asked adi Apprentice of the Year, Craig Mulligan, to tell us about his experiences so far:
ÂWhen I began searching for an apprenticeship, I had a clear idea of what I wanted and the sort of skills I was looking to develop. The opportunity at adi was exactly what I was looking for, and when I went to the initial interview I was really impressed by the structure and success of the apprenticeship programme and the company as a whole  I was absolutely thrilled when I got the call to say I was accepted to the scheme.
ÂAs a Business and Administration Apprentice, I have been given the opportunity to work within various departments and teams. At the moment, IÂm working across three different areas; Admin, IT and Purchasing. The variation in job roles means that no two days are the same, and has helped me to develop key skills such as communication, decision-making, team work and time management.Â
ÂFrom the very first interview, everyone has been really friendly and supportive. I chose adi because of its great reputation and the opportunities available, but the positive working environment has also been a key part of the experience.
ÂIn December I won Apprentice of the Year, and that recognition from my colleagues was a great feeling. Having that support and appreciation has boosted my confidence and motivated me to do even better in the year ahead. My aim is to try and win again this year.
ÂThrough my apprenticeship at adi IÂve not only developed my business and administration skills, IÂve also grown as an individual in every regard. IÂm proud to be part of the adi team.Â
