BrammerÂs partnership with Coca-Cola Enterprise Partners (CCEP) in Wakefield has seen its Insite team nominated for a prestigious ÂMaintenance Team Award at the Manufacturing Champions Awards held by Works Management.
Taking place in Manchester on 8th December, the Manufacturing Champions Awards celebrate those working within the British manufacturing, and showcase what UK manufacturing has to offer. The awards highlight the outstanding performance, innovation, teamwork and added value created by men, women and businesses within the manufacturing industry. Other awards include ÂManufacturing LeaderÂ, ÂManufacturing Team and Employee-led InnovationÂ. Brammer was nominated for the award, having delivered a cost saving of 20% of average spend through its multiple projects at CCEPÂs Wakefield facility.
After developing a good knowledge of CCEP WakefieldÂs facility and how it operated, the Brammer team recommended the introduction of an Insite as a practical solution to save time and resources. Geared towards meeting the organisationÂs needs, Insite is a Brammer branch based within the customerÂs site. One of the main benefits of Insite is that itÂs run by experienced Brammer personnel who have the knowledge and understanding to optimise the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procurement process. This helps to deliver savings not only in terms of product cost, but also in administrative costs, a reduction in inventory, and supply base.
As well as cost savings generated through vendor consolidation and inventory rationalisation, the Insite team was able to call on BrammerÂs extensive experience in bearings and seals, mechanical power transmission, fluid power and electrical power transmission to help CCEP Wakefield achieve savings.
Andy Hickin, Key Account Development Manager of Brammer said: ÂWeÂre proud to have been recognised for the work weÂve done with CCEP. Not only did we provide advice on specific projects, but also increased efficiency throughout its production line operation. As a result, CCEP witnessed a cost saving in excess of 11%. This isnÂt unique either, as many of the added-value projects managed by us can be replicated Europe-wide, as every CCEP plant has its own InsiteÂ, meaning these initiatives could result in major cost savings for the business as a whole.Â
