Carrs approved by Curtiss-Wright (Penny and Giles)
2 years after achieving AS9100 quality standard, Carrs have been approved by the industrial group: Curtiss-Wright (Penny and Giles) as well as by a rapidly expanding portfolio of tier 1 and 2 aerospace suppliers including Meggitt and Ametek industries.
Carrs are the leading independent laser welding operator in the UK with 12 laser welding stations, laser marking capability and full weld test facilities available to the aerospace and other industries.
AS9100 certification certainly seems to have been a wise move by Carrs. Phil Carr, director, says ÂCustomers like our technical tenacity, attention to detail and repeatability but also our flexible and friendly approach. Whilst the road to AS9100 certification was quite arduous for us, it was certainly worth us taking that important decision. Now we have customers that supply Airbus and Rolls, everyone is starting to take notice.Â
