The Cross Cut Adhesion test which is also known as a Cross Hatch Test is a test which is done to prove the adhesion of a coating or an adhesive. Once the coating of adhesive is applied to a surface a series of cuts are done to the sample using a special cutting guide and then tape is applied and peeled off. Following the removal of the tape the area is assessed and rated based on the outcome. This test can also be conducted following exposure to various climatic or weathering conditions which we can simulate within our laboratory.
