In line with its Surface World Live theme for 2017, RAPRA is proud to announce that at 3:00pm on the 22nd March, Dr Clint Styles, Business Development Manager at nC², a University of Southampton engineering business unit, will deliver a presentation entitled ÂUtilising academic excellence to tribology to solve real world problems for industryÂ
nC² works directly for industry to provide consultancy services including: material testing, characterisation, failure investigation and applied research.
Clint was instrumental in setting up nC² and has over 25 years experience of running high technology and engineering projects in companies such as QinetiQ and TWI. This has been for and in collaboration with companies such as Airbus, Rolls Royce, Shell, BP, Spirit Aerospace, Meggitt as well as SMEs. He has won £10Âs Millions in funding and gone on to coordinate multimillion pound projects from funding sources such as FP/H2020, Innovate UK, MOD and commercial (applied R&D and consultancy). Clint also acts as the Business Development Manager and lead of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment.
