Despite continued pessimistic press reports about UK
exports, not all is doom and gloom. News from several Made in the Midlands
members has been up-beat recently regarding their export achievements and
prospective business. At Engineers Mate, we are delighted to report that this
week has seen us export engineering products to our 70th country, all within 12 months of making our first export sale.
Europe is certainly our most common export destination, with France, Spain, Italy and the Low Countries being the most prolific. However, repeat customers from Australia, USA, South America and Africa create far more interest in the office and hardly surprising, there were several volunteers to hand-deliver the order to our 70th export country: Barbados!
