Manufacturers in Birmingham and Solihull have increased revenues from the adoption of advanced services, thanks to the support of Aston University. The Transforming SMEs to improve their Revenues through the Adoption of Advanced Services programme is currently working with 73 local firms and is urging companies to take advantage of the fully-subsidised support whilst it is still on offer.

This programme is designed to deliver sustainable growth to businesses by helping firms to capture significant untapped value from their customers by providing services such as maintenance, spare parts provision, training and outcome-based contracts. These services complement the products they produce and provide your customer with the capability to perform their business more effectively.

Tim Hughes, Managing Director CHH Conex said: “Being part of this programme has really opened our eyes to the opportunities to deliver new service propositions to our customers. It is a real mind-set change to focus on delivering capability rather than the traditional transaction based business model. Working with Aston Business School has been of real value to our business”.

This programme of business support for SMEs is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is delivered by the Advanced Services Group, Aston Business School, Lloyds Bank plc and Trowers & Hamlins LLP.
