With a range of 130 metres and an accuracy to within ±2mm it houses a built in GPS receiver so as well as knowing exactly where the system is situated, we can use it even in bright sunlight.
Plant surveys can now be undertaken on live plant rather than waiting until all plant is shutdown.
It's an ideal way of capturing 'as-built' compared to 'as-designed' status of plant and equipment.
