O.L.D welcomed over 40 guests to their 50,000 square foot premises, which eclipsed the total of guests at their event last year. Joint Managing Director of O.L.D. Engineering, Chris Topp said: ÂToday has been very successful, we had a very good turnout and met some good contacts as well, and hopefully we can push forwards with those in the coming weeks. We are really happy with the event and would love to do it again sometime.Â

O.L.D. are one of a limited amount of members that have hosted multiple breakfast events, in turn Chris offered his advice to future hosts of these events, as he stated: ÂJust be welcoming, show guests what you have got to offer, if you have any literature you should hand that out and promote your business to your guests. Â
O.L.D. work in four primary sectors, including: Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Nuclear. The business were recently declared Fit for Nuclear (F4N), which is a unique service to help UK manufacturing companies get ready to bid for work in the civil nuclear supply chain. The status also proves to O.L.D. customers that they understand the expectations of the industry.
Made in the Midlands will be hosting a record number of events this year, to further strengthen the relationships between Midlands manufacturers in a post-Brexit Britain. Chris concluded: ÂI think these events are really important. You have a lot of social media platforms these days, but it is great to meet people face to face, so that people can see what you are doing and get a greater experience of your company.Â
