Sir Alan Jones helped forging firm W H Tildesley Ltd celebrate its new forge opening.

The drop forging firm has officially opened its new premises after undergoing a £1.4M expansion and refurbishment.

W H Tildesley Ltd manufactures components for the oil & gas, aerospace, rail and lifting gear industries and supplies parts for iconic brands including racing Aston Martin & Minis, vintage Bentleys, Porsches and Vincent motorcycles.

Following this significant investment, the company held an open day for its Customers on 5th September 2013.  Sir Alan Jones, Chairman Emeritus of Toyota Manufacturing (UK) Ltd was onsite to perform the official opening ceremony.

Managing Director John Tildesley said, “this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring the heart of this factory into the 21st century, and it reflects our on-going commitment to improving service and value to our customers”

In his speech, Sir Alan Jones commented “this is a company that believes in itself, its ability to continually change to suit market opportunities and to produce high quality, cost effective products”.

The investment is expected to create up to 8 new jobs at the company which has been based at the same site in Willenhall for over 130 years.

Customers, suppliers and business partners as well as former shop floor workers were invited to join current staff and workers at W H Tildesley Ltd to celebrate the official opening of the new forge buildings.
