Jonathan Lee Design Services (JLDS) is celebrating after a record year in 2016, and has kick-started 2017 with a six-month programme to model a new vehicle for this yearÂs prestigious Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Among the many exciting projects the team has been involved in over the past 12 months is the Faraday Future FF91 vehicle, launched at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2017, plus work on two top secret concept cars for major vehicle manufacturers.
Ron Polonski, chief of digital design at Faraday Future, said: ÂJonathan Lee Design Services was an important part of the Class A phase of the DF91 interior development. Their speed, quality and professionalism were top class and they were a real joy to work with. We will work with them again.Â
Nick Jones, director at Jonathan Lee Design Services, says: ÂWeÂve worked on a number of prestigious projects in the past year and have seen a substantial growth in demand for our services and, in turn, our business has grown too - more than trebling in size in the past 12 months.
ÂOur success has been down to the knowledge and capabilities of our experienced team. The target for 2017 is to continue to expand our customer base, beyond automotive and leverage the extensive experience we have with the electric vehicle market.Â
JLDS works on a range of both traditional and electric vehicles providing digital modelling services and supporting global automotive design studios with concept modelling through to production surfacing, using Alias software, and has built up a broad range of experience and knowledge across both markets. Often drafted in to support large-scale projects or those requiring very specific skill sets, vehicle manufacturers rely on the JLDS team to deliver first-class aesthetic design for their vehicles.
Comprising a number of experienced digital modellers and designers, JLDS has grown substantially in 2016, taking on additional premises at its Hatton Technology Park Home and appointing a specialist Gemma Gregson to join the team to lead the recruitment of new designers.
ÂGemmaÂs appointment was a strategic move to help the company continue on its current trajectory and to source the right skills for the range of projects that we have in the pipeline, concluded Jones.See more at: http://www.jonlee.co.uk/blog/record-year-sets-jonathan-lee-design-services-in-good-stead-for-2017-blog-75322214716#sthash.Gg4FNyoS.dpuf
