An important area for manufacturers of equipment which is installed outdoors is how that equipment will cope this damage either accidental or through vandalism. At kA Testing Facility we have the equipment in place to provide a number of testing solutions for this very subject.
Static Load Testing
This test is to simulate the effects of force being applied to a point on a product or enclosure. The test involves a force being applied to the roof or door of the product or enclosure in question.
Torsional Tests
This test is to test the structural integrity of a product or enclosure. The test involves a equal torsional force being applied at opposite corners on the product or assembly. Once the force is applied it is left for 30 seconds.
Shock Load
The Shock Load or Sandbag test is to simulate the effects of vandalism on a product. The involves a bag filled with dry sand of a particular composition being swung into the product or assembly.
