Introduction

Nailcote hall is a 45 room hotel with conferencing and entertainment facilities. A biomass boiler provides the heating baseload and a gas boiler provides the top up.

Mr Cressman would like a reliable heating system that will improve guest comfort and reduce the cost of heating. The system needs to make running the hotel easier and improve the experience of the guests. It is Mr Cressman's aim to improve comfort and reduce the cost of heating for his business.

The site requires individual control of the radiator valves in the bedrooms and communal areas. These are to be controlled remotely from reception, with provision for both time & temperature control on a 7-day cycle.

The system is required to control a number of Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and Air Conditioning Units (ACUs), all within the same user interface.

The system is required to have boiler interlock to ensure that the plant can run when there is a call for heat and will cease to run when room temperatures are satisfied. The proposed system must have the ability to automatically respond to a guest entering a room to automatically raise the temperature. Guests & staff must also have the ability to manually control the temperature from within the rooms.
