• Overall 12th significantly higher than last year’s 17th position
  • Elite top 10 placings in three categories
  • Announcement further evidence of excellence of programme

Aston University’s triple-accredited MBA receives yet another accolade today, Wednesday 26 April, by being ranked overall in the top 12 in the world.

In 2016 the degree programme was ranked 17th overall in the same QS Distance Online MBA Rankings, compiled by higher and business education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds.

In addition to its overall top 12 position, the Aston MBA achieved elite top 10 placings for ‘faculty and teaching’, ranked 6th, ‘diversity’, ranked 9th and ‘class experience’, ranked 10th.

It also achieved 16th place for ‘employer reputation,’ and did well in the remaining two categories for ‘established in market’ and ‘student quality,’ ranked 30th and 36th respectively.

Professor George Feiger, Pro Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of Aston Business School, said: “I am delighted that our Online MBA has again been recognised in external rankings and that our position is a very significant improvement on last year’s.

“Today’s announcement is further evidence of the strength and quality of Aston Business School’s teaching. The future of education is in life-long learning. That needs to be balanced with the demand of a career. We recognise that at Aston and have tailored our market-leading programme to meet the requirements both of our students and of their employers.”

Students study for the Aston Online MBA totally online whilst continuing their career. The programme, which can be completed over two years, is designed for experienced business professionals looking to move into leadership and strategic positions. Graduates increase their earnings by 64.5 per cent on average.

The aim of the QS Distance Online MBA Rankings is to provide learners with the detailed information necessary to help them make optimal educational and career decisions. The methodology comprises 18 indicators across six key areas, including the employability of graduates from each programme, as well as student quality, faculty and teaching.
