Opening in March - Innovation in Health and Life Sciences Round 2
Due to Innovate UK's 2016/17 delivery plan we expect Innovation in Health and Life Sciences Round 2 to open in March. It is expected that this round of funding will look similar to round 1 so Innovate UK's priority areas are:
- increase yield, quality and sustainability in agriculture and food production
- improve precision medicine, advanced therapies, preclinical technologies
- advance biosciences in healthcare and agriculture and food production
If you are currently considering a project within at least one of these areas and would like to discuss how grant funding could potentially support you with this development contact us.
Receive up to £175K
The aim of this competition is to help companies overcome intractable product, manufacturing or process performance problems through advanced measurement and analytical technologies.
Innovate UK are looking to fund projects that can show the negative business impact of an existing process or product variability.
Examples of the types of business problems include, but are not limited to:
- poorly understood structure and properties of emerging technology products where the business impact is high
- undesirable variation in product or process performance, where the root cause is not understood, but the negative business impact is high
- repeated unexplained product failures
- lack of precision in composition measurement or flow of multi-component systems, or processes
SBRI: integrated innovation for nuclear decommissioning - OPEN NOW
Receive up to £1.5m
The aim of this competition is to stimulate innovation in and reduce the cost of nuclear decommissioning. Projects should produce a step change in the decommissioning or dismantling process and address the following objectives:
- minimise human intervention
- increase productivity
- optimise waste treatment, packing and routing
Innovate UK are looking to fund projects that integrate technologies into a single platform, or a small number of platforms. These should be able to demonstrate multiple tasks in the decommissioning process with minimum human intervention.
