A team from J Motion Video Production was on site on Monday 11 January taking video of our 

Machine Shop, Iron Foundry, Fitting, Stores and Offices.  They spent the morning in the Machine 

Shop taking video of our CNC machining capability which included, CNC milling, CNC turning, our 5 

axis horizontal borer, CNC cylindrical grinder, CNC gear hobber and our CMM inspection capability to 

name but a few.  All operated by our highly skilled experienced workforce.

In the afternoon the J Motion team spent a couple of hours in our Iron Foundry.  They set up 2 video 

cameras, one sited in our cherry picker to get an overhead view of our 2 electric induction furnaces 

and another sited on the ground near the pour (not too close of course), kitted out in full PPE!  The 

team thoroughly enjoyed their “volcano” experience of a double melt and pour for the production of 

a very large machine tool bed for one of our customers.

Further video was taken of our highly experienced fitting  team working on a folder for a printing 

press, testing it mechanically and electrically.  

The first draft of the video was received on Tuesday 19 January and we are pleased with the result, a 

few tweaks here and there and it will be ready for installation on our website and our YouTube 

channel with a link to our social media sites too.  A shorter 30 second video has also been produced 

for our exhibition stand, to be seen for the first time at Southern Manufacturing in February.
